Care and maintenance instructions for Ansacore
Ansacore
Ansacore is a modern composite material. The structure of Ansacore makes maintenance and cleaning easy.
To make daily maintenance easier, we recommend treating the tabletop with the special Ansacore Care Product, which will protect the surface.
Daily maintenance
Wipe the Ansacore tabletop with a moist soapy cloth and finish with a clean dry cloth.
Periodicall cleaning
For more thorough cleaning, follow these steps: Wipe the tabletop with a cloth with has been wrung in a relatively strong solution of detergent and water. Use an abrasive sanding sponge (nylon) to remove difficult stains. Sand in circular motions until the stain is gone. Wipe the tabletop with a clean dry cloth. Sanding marks are easily removed by polishing with 800-1000 grit paper. (An excenter sander can also be used). Remove sanding dust with a damp cloth. For scrapes or scratches use 600 grit sandpaper. Follow with finer gritted paper (800-1000 grit) in circular motions.
Use the Ansacore Care Product to finish the treatment.
Stain removal and tips
Sharp or pointy objects can damage the surface of the tabletop. Use coasters when in doubt. Wipe up any spills as soon as possible. For stain removal, follow the instructions above.
Never use corrosive cleaning products, acetone or similar.
Never place hot items such as pots and pans (anything above 80 degrees Celsius) directly on your tabletop as it can damage the finish. Use a hot pad to avoid damaging the finish.
